Founded in 1997 to respond to France’s evolving mobility needs, AREP has designed and delivered hundreds of transport-oriented projects in France, making it one of the world’s most experienced transport facility planning consultancies. AREP is wholly owned by France’s National Railways Corporation (SNCF) and integrated within the SNCF Group through its branch “Gares et Connexions”.
AREP today is an international, multidisciplinary firm with a range of capabilities that includes regional planning, town planning, architecture, interior design and industrial design. AREP’s work is wholly focussed on creating places and infrastructure that promote peoples’ well-being as they live, work and move in cities, hence the theme Cities for Sharing.
AREP is based in Paris, France and maintains fully-staffed regional offices in China, Vietnam, Morocco, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. AREP’s 900-strong workforce of over thirty nationalities includes architects, city planners, designers, engineers, economists, sustainability specialists, mobility and intermodality specialists, programming specialists and construction managers.
